Hello Key Clubbers!
I hope you've been enjoying the really nice weather we've been having as of late. Looks like spring's on it's way (already...)!
I have a few things to talk about on my agenda today:
Firstly, Alex's Lemonade Stand will no longer be held on Tuesday, January 22nd! Couple of school policies have us stuck for now, but our tentative date has changed to Thursday, January 24th, so our lemonade-making efforts have not gone to waste!
Secondly, DCON! My goal for this year is to have 50 members attend from the Cinco Ranch High School Key Club, and so far, we have 30 members who have shown interest. Although this is a pretty amazing feat in itself, it's not nearly enough! So drag your friends along! Spread the word! It'll be an amazing and enlightening experience, guaranteed. For those who have shown interest, we have our first deposit of $100 coming up soon, so be sure to attend the meeting this Thursday for more information.
Thirdly, officer election for next year... Those that are interested can find the application under "Resources" tab, OR, if you're the lazy kind, by clicking here. The applications are due by the second week of February (Friday, February 8th), so get cracking people! The interviews will take place on the week after Valentine's, starting Wednesday, February 20th, to Friday, February 22nd; you should get notified of your status within 3 days.
Lastly, we will have more and more events coming at us in February and March, including lots of socials/fundraisers, so do attend and help out, because it's all going to good places!
Yours in service,
Freezing even... Thank you to all the Key Clubbers that stuck through and helped out at the Chevron Houston Marathon, nevertheless! The coordinators really appreciated our help, and, most of all, the runners really appreciated our help!
If you were one of those members that ran off to Walgreens to seek shelter from the cold, shame on you...
